England favourites, but they never make it easy…

England are odds-on to book their place in the World Cup finals by topping Group H ahead of their crucial qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland.

Successive victories on Friday and Tuesday at Wembley will ensure automatic qualification and the Football League’s title sponsor Sky Bet hold confidence in the Three Lions.

Roy Hodgson’s men are 1/3 to collect all three points on Friday night while Montenegro are 9/1 to gain control of the group with a victory.

A draw (7/2) would leave Ukraine in pole position if they see off Poland, who can come back into the equation if they are victorious and there’s a stalemate in London.

Sky Bet make England 4/11 favourites to win the group with Ukraine 5/2 , Montenegro 11/1 and Poland a hefty 100/1.

Hodgson should have in-form strike duo Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge available for selection again and the duo are 9/2 both to score in 90 minutes.

Rooney is considered the 4/1 favourite to open the scoring ahead of Sturridge (5/1), while Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic is rated the visitors’ main threat at 12/1 followed by Manchester City’s Stevan Jovetic (14/1).
