Devon Derby final at Newton Abbot
Reigning champions Exeter City Ladies will face their Plymouth Argyle counterparts in the final of the SWH Ltd Devon Women’s Senior Cup on Thursday 17th April. The fixture kicks off at 7pm at the Coach Road ground in Newton Abbot, headquarters of Devon County FA. Entry is £4 for adults and £2 concessions.
Thursday’s game is a rematch of the previous season’s final. Exeter City Ladies won 4-3 after extra-time – Catherine Wright’s deep free-kick bamboozled the Argyle stopper and eventually proved decisive.
The fixture also pairs together arguably the two strongest teams in the South West Combination this season. Exeter, who came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Forest Green on Sunday, lie second in the table and just three points behind leaders Swindon with four games in hand over the Robins. Plymouth have a further game in hand, and sit two points adrift of the Grecians.
Your support for the Ladies team would be greatly welcomed on Thursday evening, and for the remainder of the season going forward. For more information on our Ladies team, go to www.ecfcladies.co.uk
