Darren Deadman to look after Pools fixture
Referee Darren Deadman will be the man in black when the Grecians travel to Hartlepool United for the final Sky Bet League 2 fixture of the season on Saturday.
The Cambridgeshire-based referee has been anything but shy when it comes to distributing cards this season – he has shown 120 yellows and nine reds over the course of 33 matches to date.
Deadman hasn’t officiated either Exeter or Hartlepool to date this season. However City won on the two occasions that he officiated their games last season – a 2-0 home win against Accrington, which followed a 3-2 away victory in Gillingham. Pools also won their only fixture overseen by Deadman in 2012/13, a 3-2 win at Sheffield United.
Former Grecian Daniel Nardiello was also once sent off by Deadman when he was briefly on loan at Hartlepool from Blackpool in 2009.
