A classic shot of Alan Banks as you’ve never seen it before
A splash of colour has been added to a classic moment from Exeter City’s history, by re-colouring the famous photo of Alan Banks as he collects the trophy for scoring his 100th goal for the Grecians. The re-colouring has been provided by the Football League as part of the #WallofColour campaign. The new photo shows what a massive difference colour can make and comes as City are calling on fans to create a #WallofColour at the opening home match of the season against Portsmouth on Saturday.
Supporters are asked to wear red and white to inspire new skipper Scot Bennett and the boys to get the 2014/15 Sky Bet League 2 campaign off to the best possible start and then share their efforts on social media using #WallofColour.
You can purchase tickets for the opening home game of the season and are cheaper if bought up to three hours before kick-off – click here for full ticketing information.
