Match preview: Exeter City v Torquay United

Exeter City v Torquay United
Pre-season friendly
St James Park
Saturday 2nd August 2014, 3pm

City’s third and final pre-season friendly fixture at St James Park comes against neighbours Torquay United on Saturday.

The fixture is not on the cards for the Sky Bet League 2 season in the forthcoming campaign following the relegation of the Gulls, who propped up the divisional table at the end of last season.

They were winners last time out against Exeter though, in City’s penultimate home fixture – trailing at the break, a swift turnaround after the interval gave Torquay the win and postponed their demotion for another week.

City boss Paul Tisdale may opt to rest Liam Sercombe and Jordan Moore-Taylor again after injury kept them out of the last fixture, while Danny Coles and Matt Grimes will both also need looking at before a decision is taken.

Supporters that came along a couple of seasons ago were treated to a 3-3 draw between the two Devon clubs on that occasion.

Tickets are available in advance from just £6 adults, £4 seniors, £3under-18s.  Click here for full ticketing information for this fixture including how to buy.

Please note that the Stagecoach Family Stand will be closed for this fixture – City supporters will be based in the WTS Stand and the Thatchers Big Bank.  All City fans should enter via the Stadium Way turnstiles at the corner of the WTS Stand and the Thatchers Big Bank.
