City support student of the year

Grecians proud to be associated with National BTEC Student of the Year

“I enjoyed the great opportunities we were given as tourism students such as training at the Flybe Training Academy.  The Travel and Tourism department at Exeter College is truly fantastic!”

So said National BTEC Student of the Year, former Chumleigh Community College pupil, Samantha Banks.

Sam, who collected her national award at the House of Lords recently, was also Exeter College’s Sport, Leisure and Tourism Student of the Year, an award sponsored by Exeter City Football Club, which works closely with the college, officially the best provider of further education in the country.

Sam was a model student achieving triple Distinction stars and was dedicated to her course, traveling 90 minutes a day to college.  Rob Bosworth, who is one of the Trustees of the club’s ‘Football in the Community’ Charitable Trust, presented Sam with her award at the recent awards dinner held at another of the club’s business partners, the Rougemont Thistle Hotel.
