Richard Clark is on whistle duty
Richard Clark will be the man in black for City’s long trip north to Bootham Crescent on Saturday.
This is Clark’s second season officiating at this level, and only his second City match. The previous one was a successful day for the Grecians, with Clark taking the whistle for last season’s 3-0 away win at Accrington, which was secured thanks to an Alan Gow brace and one for Guillem Bauza.
Clark is a more regular referee where York are concerned, with this fixture his fifth visit to the home of the Minstermen.
This season Clark has taken charge of 23 games, showing 70 yellow cards and eight reds. His most recent sending off was that of Peterborough’s Lee Tomlin as Clark took control of The Posh’s 5-4 defeat at Oldham a month ago.
