Room at the inn for Cardens at Christmas
When Exeter-based estate agents Cardens Residential were looking for a city-centre facility for a staff training day at short notice in the busy run up to Christmas, the Commercial team at St James Park were delighted to be able to help out the company’s owner (and long-time fan and sponsor) Jon Carden.
The day was run by training professional Philip Ward of The Leadout Project and he was delighted with the corporate facilities offered by the Grecians.
“Exeter City Football Club offered convenient and comfortable surroundings supported by a friendly team who catered for our every need,” he commented. “I would have no hesitation in recommending other local businesses looking for a central venue, which importantly has easy car parking and excellent catering.”
And Jon will definitely be using the Tribute Room again. He added: “The day was a huge success and we now have a follow-up planned for January. It was certainly more pleasurable than the defeat to Chesterfield which followed just a couple of days later!”
Donna Greening, the Events and Conference Manager at Exeter City, said: ‘It was a pleasure to tell such a well-known and respected company as Cardens Estates that we did have room at the inn on this occasion and to help them have such a successful day.
“Our facilities are always booked well ahead, but we have a wide variety of room types and sizes and with some last minute manoeuvrings we managed to fit their group in to one of our private lounges.
“They were a super group and it is really nice that they have now re-booked for the New Year.”
