City receive passage to second round
Without even having kicked a ball, the Grecians have already secured a place in the second round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.Exeter City are one of eight teams in the Southern section of the draw to get a pass to the following round, alongside Bristol City, Northampton Town, Plymouth Argyle, Colchester United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Luton Town and MK Dons.
32 clubs will enter the competition in the first round, and they are split into four regional groups at this stage.
The draw for the first round will take place on Saturday 16th August.
