Opening night for community play
The Day We Played Brazil, a community play about the Grecians’ 1914 tour to South America, opens at the Exeter Northcott Theatre this evening (Wednesday 16th July).
The show runs until Sunday 27th July, with a gala performance following on Saturday 2nd August.
This musical play is performed by 100 local people telling the stories of the players and their wives, sweethearts and families back home.
With plenty of music, tears and laughter along the way, as well as some great footballing moments, it’s a story of adventure and excitement both on and off the pitch that will take the audience through the highs and lows of the hundred years in Exeter since the outbreak of the Great War.
