Dream-A-Way benefit from another great gesture
Exeter City were proud to recently play a small part in the superb gesture by John Frost, managing director of City Plumbing, who personally donated the match sponsorship for the club’s home game against Dagenham & Redbridge to the Exeter-based Dream-A-Way charity.
The charity used the occasion to reward the wonderful volunteers that are involved in running an award-winning charity with no overheads, to raise vital funds and to offer a day out with a difference to some of the people that the charity works with and helps.
It turned out to be an inspiring and moving day for a number of those involved as well as a very enjoyable event for everyone attending. The club were thrilled to receive the following comments from one of the guests, sent via Dream-A-Way’s chairman, Jeff Merrett MBE: “Again thank you so much for helping our boys have a truly wonderful day at Exeter City FC. I have spoken to Mike and Gemma and we all agree that all three boys had an amazing time.
“Watching their reactions to being at the club, going onto the pitch, watching the game with its thrills and spills provided so many special moments we woll all remember for a long time – magical.
“We had a fantastic welcome, nothing was too much trouble and we all felt every bit a special part of a very special family club. A brilliant, brilliant day! Thank you to everyone who helped to make it happen.”
