Jake Gosling called up for Gibraltar

City winger in international squad for Team 54

We are pleased to announce that Jake Gosling has been called up to the Gibraltar national team squad for their forthcoming friendly fixtures against Estonia and Malta.

The City winger, who has just returned from a loan spell with Gloucester City, qualifies for Gibraltar through his father.

Gibraltar are UEFA's newest members and are about to embark on their first qualifying campaign for the European Championships in 2016, after gaining full UEFA membership last year.  They will face Poland, Georgia, Germany, Republic of Ireland and Scotland in qualifying Group D.

Gosling could win his first international cap against Estonia later this month in Tallinn, as Estonia host ‘Team 54’ on Monday 26th May.

Then Gibraltar will welcome Malta as their guests on Wednesday 4th June.  The Estádio Algarve in Faro, Portugal, currently hosts Gibraltar’s home fixtures.

Exeter City Football Club wish Jake and the Gibraltar team the best of luck in their friendly fixtures and their forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
