Former City man takes over at Prenton Park
Rob Edwards, formerly assistant manager of Exeter City, has been appointed to the vacant managerial post at Sky Bet League 2 side Tranmere Rovers.
An eight-year relationship between Edwards and the Grecians came to an end this summer. The Kendal-born man first joined City in 2006 and spent five years as a member of the playing staff, before hanging up his boots to take on a coaching role in 2011.
The Prenton Park job will be Rob’s first senior managerial position, as he becomes the latest member of club to move on to a new stage in his career after developing skills with Exeter.
Everyone at Exeter City would like to reiterate their gratitude for all of Rob’s input during his time with the club, and to wish every success to Rob in his new role with Tranmere.
