‘The Day We Played In Brazil’ to premiere at Exeter Phoenix

Supporters invited to see the premiere of The Day We Played In Brazil

The Day We Played In Brazil, a stunningly-filmed documentary of the Grecians’ centenary trip to Brazil this summer, is set to premiere at the Exeter Phoenix on Wednesday 3rd December (screening from 7pm).

Filmed in a fly-on-the-wall style by Dan Wiseman of Wiseman Productions, the film documents the experiences of the Exeter City players on their historic trip to Brazil.

100 years after the Grecians became the first ever opponents of the Brazilian national team, Exeter City returned to Rio to play a centenary fixture against Fluminense in Laranjeiras Stadium, as well as facing Tupi and Rio Cricket e Associação Atlética in friendly fixtures.

The documentary includes film of the three matches that were played, interviews with players and new friends that were made in Brazil and footage from the off-the-pitch excursions that the players took.  It is a revealing and unique insight into a history-making tour.

Tickets are priced at £5.50 per person.  Ticket-holders are invited to arrive and use the bar at the Exeter Phoenix from 6pm, with the event beginning at 7pm and being introduced by Exeter City vice-chairman Julian Tagg.  DVDs will be available to buy on the evening too, which would make an ideal stocking-filler for any true Grecian.

Tickets to see the premiere of The Day We Played In Brazil are available to buy in person at Reception at St James Park or by ringing the club on 01392 411 243, or by contacting Exeter Phoenix directly.
