Northampton Town have confirmed that they have triggered their 24-hour loan recall option on forward Alex Nicholls, meaning he will return to Sixfields imminently.Nicholls featured six times for the Grecians during his loan spell, and scored a winner away at Cambridge United – his first competitive goal since returning from a long-term spell on the sidelines.
Most recently he won a late penalty for Exeter against Dagenham & Redbridge, helping to trigger City’s fightback and win at Victoria Road.
