Exeter City to host Newport County AFC in FA Youth Cup at St James Park

Under-18 side to take on Exiles at SJP in youth competition

Exeter City’s under-18 squad have been drawn against Newport County AFC in the first round of the FA Youth Cup, and the tie will be played at St James Park on Tuesday 28th October (7pm).

The Grecians’ under-18 side won the Youth Alliance South West title last season, and currently lie third in the league table this season after nine games.

It will offer a few more fans a chance to turn out to get behind City’s youngsters, including those that are aspiring to play in the first team next season.  The team for last year’s first-round tie against Swindon Town featured Matt Jay, Ollie Watkins, Connor Riley-Lowe and Jason Pope, all of whom were subsequently given professional contracts.

Details of admission prices will be announced in due course.
