Berkshire official Iain Williamson to take charge at Victoria Road
EXPERIENCED REFEREE Iain Williamson will be in the middle for Tuesday night’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.Williamson has been officiating in the Football League since the 2002/03 season and has taken charge of the Grecians on six previous occasions, with mixed results.
His first match in control of City was the 3-0 victory over Gillingham at St James Park in October 2008, in which a Richard Logan opener preceded a brace from Adam Stansfield which wrapped up the match before half-time.
Since then, Williamson has taken the whistle for one Exeter City win and four defeats. The most recent of these was in April of last season, when he awarded Wycombe a penalty in the twelfth minute of injury-time as they grabbed a last gasp 2-1 win over the Grecians at Adams Park.
So far this season the Berkshire-based official has taken charge of two matches and awarded eight yellow cards. Last season he handed out fifty-four yellow cards and two reds in seventeen matches.
