Head to the Trust's stall ahead of the Luton match
THE EXETER POUND is a local currency. But, what is a local currency? The idea is a simple one. We want to support the local economy, by encouraging people to spend in local, independent businesses. The Exeter Pound is a tool to make this happen, and there are already 130 traders signed up, from across the city. But it’s not just about resilience, it’s also about celebrating the spirit of Exeter.
Introducing the 5 Exeter Pound note! On one side is a poster, of our historic 1914 game, against the newly formed Brazil team. And on the other is Adam Stansfield, commemorated as a hero of Exeter City and as a warm, loving person missed by all. We’re very proud of this note, and all of the others which make up the Exeter Pound!
If you like the idea of spending what we’re affectionately calling a ‘Stanno’, or if you’d like to get a unique present for Christmas, pop by our stall on Saturday! We’ll be on the Exeter City Supporters’ Trust stand, and we have a mobile exchange point, framed sets, and gift cards, so do come and see us before the game if you’d like to find out more or get your hands on some Exeter Pounds. The exchange rate is 1:1, so there’s no reason not to!
