International students welcomed as guests at the Park
Exeter City welcomed a group of students from Brazil to St James Park at our most recent home fixture against Northampton Town.Exeter College, a key partner of the club, was one of the main sponsors of the club’s amazing return to Brazil in 2014, 100 years after becoming the first team to play Brazil in 1914.
One of the reasons behind the college’s interest in Brazil is that the award winning educational centre has, as part of its international expansion programme, focused on international student recruitment.
The proof of the pudding is in the results, and so it was with huge pleasure that the Grecians welcomed a group of 10 of the new Exeter College students who have travelled all the way from different parts of Brazil to study at the college.
The group was given a guided tour of the stadium and then introduced to the crowd before the start of the game, and then watched the match from the Thatchers Big Bank.
The feedback was excellent with the students reporting that they had a wonderful day (result apart!) and the college enjoying the benefits of its association between the club and Brazil.
