Changed strip gives nod to Grecians’ heritage
Exeter City’s brand new third strip for the 2015/16 has today been revealed, and takes its influence from the maroon, white and green of our friends at Fluminense.The shirt is on sale goes on sale today at the Club Shop at St James Park – you can pick it up ahead of this afternoon’s game against AFC Bournemouth, which kicks off at St James Park at 3pm.
But you can see it in the flesh (and get yours!) for the first time this morning at Princesshay at our ‘Meet the Players’ event! The first-team squad will be in town to sign autographs, pose for photos and help sell the new shirts in Princesshay between 10am and 12pm, before heading to the Park for the match.
Shirts are on sale for £40 adult sizes and £30 for children’s sizes.
It will be the perfect accompaniment to the Exeter City v Fluminense U19 fixture at St James Park on Monday evening, which will mark 101 years (and counting) of history between the Grecians and Brazil.
Exeter City Chairman Julian Tagg said: “We are delighted to today launch our new third kit, and in doing so we honour our history and friendship with Fluminense – which is a huge part of our heritage.
“Our history is wrapped up in our unique and inimitable identity – we may not be the biggest club in the land, but we are certainly one of the proudest. I hope our players enjoy great success in the new shirt.”
