Match Preview: Exeter City vs Stevenage

A look ahead to this weekend's Sky TV fixture

EXETER CITY vs STEVENAGE
SKY BET LEAGUE 2
ST JAMES PARK
SUNDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2015
KICK-OFF: 12:15PM

AFTER THREE CONSECUTIVE away games, the Grecians are finally back in action at St James Park this weekend.

And it will be a very busy weekend indeed. First, the Sky cameras will be at SJP to broadcast the game live to the world. It's also this season's specially-designated One Game One Community fixture, with a series of events happening throughout the day as we raise awareness for this season's theme of mental health.

Lastly, Sunday is our long-awaited Kids in Charge day, whereby a number of local schoolchildren will work alongside club staff in order to find out just what it takes to put on a Football League game in front of the television cameras.

Will Hoskins is out for City after the back spasm he suffered in the warm-up at Newport last weekend, but Ryan Harley and Jamie McAllister are both looking for a return to league action after the former played the full ninety minutes in the midweek Devon derby at Plymouth.

Stevenage manager Teddy Sheringham is without first-choice goalkeeper Jesse Joronen, who is away on international duty with Finland, so Chris Day will keep goal, with Joe Lumley, the teenager signed on loan from QPR in the week, on the bench.

You can pay on the gate to see City take on the Boro in front of the Sky cameras at St James Park. Hope to see you all there!

EXETER CITY 0-0 STEVENAGE - ST JAMES PARK -  MARCH 17 2015

The few games to date between these sides have most-often ended in draws, and this one kept true to form. City haven't beaten Stevenage since a 4-0 SJP win in the first-ever meeting between the two in a 2007 FA Cup tie.

Head to Head:

Exeter City wins: 1
Stevenage wins: 1
Draws: 3

Referee: Roger East
Assistants: Simon Long, Marc Perry
Fourth: Christopher Sarginson

We are the side on TV this Sunday lunchtime, so get to the Park early to see all of the build-up. Then, you can watch the match between Notts County and Plymouth Argyle straight after the final whistle of the City match.

There will also be Rugby World Cup action live from Exeter to watch on the screens at SJP.

Ollie Watkins is the cover star and feature interview of this special One Game One Community issue of The Grecian.

There are a range of articles and news items focusing on this year's theme of mental health, including Oliver Roderick's interview with former Grecian Martin Ling.

Also, Tom McCready tells Oliver all about his love for Liverpool.

This and much more, all available for £3 in the Club Shop and around St James Park.

"Obviously with Teddy Sheringham the manager of Stevenage, there will be a fair bit of interest created because of that, but our job is simple - we have to continue our good home form, we have to get the best out of our game, and that's regardless of opposition managers and TV cameras." - Paul Tisdale
