No obligation trial will see 16 square meter LED screen in the away end
Fans coming to St James Park on Saturday for the visit of Mansfield Town, and City’s final home League Two match of 2016 will be in for an extra treat with the arrival of a big screen digital scoreboard. The no obligation trial, provided by Fonix LED Limited will see a 16 square meter mobile LED screen housed in the away end, near the current scoreboard, for one match only.
As this is a trial run only the basic features will be used to test the functionality and ease of use of the screen and software. Expect to see the line-ups, goal scorer announcements, club video content, adverts and sponsored visual content from club partners.
Fonix LED will be providing a video camera with a wireless link which will allow for items such as ‘meet the mascots’ and the half-time shootout to be covered on screen and over the audio system.
The trial will help judge the size of the screen required and the placement, should the club be able to go ahead in the future, dependent on cost
We will be looking for feedback on the screen trial after the match from supporters who attended via SurveyMonkey
