Soccer Sight at St James Park

Soccer Sight provides a descriptive live match commentary for all visually impaired supporters

As the European Championships comes to a close and the 2016/17 season draws nearer, Exeter City would like to remind fans that the Soccer Sight service will be available to visually impaired fans for all first team matches at St James Park this season, including the pre-season friendlies against Bristol Rovers (July 16), Burton Albion (July 22) and Cardiff City (July 28).

Soccer Sight, which started in 2008, provides a descriptive live match commentary for all visually impaired supporters at St James Park from the Stagecoach Family Stand. The commentary is available throughout the ground and if you, or anybody you know, is interested in the service then headsets can be picked up from Reception on matchday.

Soccer Sight commentator and organiser Tom Fowles said: "The service is aimed at improving the matchday experience for all partially-sighted and blind fans by providing a highly descriptive live commentary of the game.

"It's a great initiative, sadly not offered by many clubs across the country, which has hopefully helped to really improve the accessibility for fellow football fans and also aided the career opportunities for some of our commentators."
