Project to support work towards a dementia-friendly Exeter
Exeter City forward Ollie Watkins says it is important that footballers try to get positive messages out to the public ahead of the club’s One Game, One Community match against Luton Town on Saturday.
The match, under the banner of Kick It Out, aims to highlight the message of working towards a dementia-friendly community in Exeter and other places.
Ollie, who is the club’s One Game, One Community ambassador, said: “It is important that football tries to highlight these issues to the wider community. It is something we have got to get out there. That is why I am the club’s ambassador for the One Game, One Community project. To try and get my profile and other people out there to influence that. We will be wearing T-shirts when we come out to warm up to try and get that message across and show how important it is.”
