Martin appointed at first meeting of new Trust Board
Martin Weiler has been elected as the new chair of Exeter City Supporters Trust. His appointment came at the first meeting of the new Trust Board held last night (October 24).
Martin said: “First of all I want to pay tribute to the massive contribution made by my predecessor Laurence Overend. He has shown exceptional leadership in his four years at the helm and the whole Trust is immensely grateful for the way he has championed supporter ownership at Exeter City.
“I am deeply honoured to be chosen as Laurence’s successor and pledge to do all I can to maximise the voice and influence of the Trust.
“We have so much to be proud of but really can’t be complacent for a moment. We will need to harness all the energy, skills and volunteering spirit that we have amongst our membership to help the club we all love flourish.”

The Supporters’ Trust also welcomed three new Trustees to the board: Ex-City player Sean Devine, Matthew Philips and Clive Harrison. Paul Farley, Neil Le Milliere and Martin Weiler were all re-elected and Peter Holding returns to the board after the required year break.
