Celebrity Golf Caddy Billy Foster entertains audience at Golfing dinner

Celebrity Golf Caddy Billy Foster was the guest speaker for ‘an evening with’ at Woodbury Golf Club recently as part of the club’s event programme.

Billy, who is currently caddying for European and PGA Tour golfer Lee Westwood entertained the crowd of over 170, with his life on the tour, which is now in its 34th year.

One of the most respected caddies on tour, he told stories of times spent with some of the greats of the game including Tiger Woods, Seve and Darren Clarke.

Highlights included his times spent at the Ryder Cup, and that emotional day when he carried the bag of Darren Clarke just after he lost his wife to cancer. You could feel the emotion in Billy’s voice, and for Darren to split the fairway with tears in his eyes must have been such an amazing experience.

Justice cannot be done on paper to Billy’s impressions of Seve, and the fun and games he had with him, to hear from his own lips the story about Seve in the tress with only have a small gap to hit through just gets better and better.
