Join us for a night of rip-roaring, side-splitting hilarity
Tonight sees St James Park host the first ‘Grecians Comedy Club’ in the Paramount Personnel Lounge, featuring top stand-up from Ignacio Lopez, Chris Chopping, Suzy Bennett, and compare Louis Burgess and a limited number of tickets are available on the door for £10.First up on the bill is Suzy Bennett, winner of ‘Funny Women 2006’ has been described by Jimmy Carr as being “A naturally funny person” Suzy has a uniquely warm and chatty stage presence.
Following Suzy is Chris Chopping, who is known for being a ‘quick-witted raconteur’. His strong material and deadpan persona have led to a cult following. Chris’ performances at the Glee Club in Cardiff have received glowing reviews, stating: “this raconteur will leave you in a glow of his mirthfulness”.
The main event sees Ignacio Lopez perform his half-Spanish, half-Welsh sleazy lothario persona. Lopez is best known for being a contestant in ITV’s ‘Show me the funny’ where his performance was described by Alan Davies as “Impressive… I was totally taken in”.
Your host for the evening is local compare Louis Burgess, a musical comedian from the Southwest, as seen on ITV. Louis’ style is described as “A singing comedian with spark… a cuddly kitten with sharp claws”.
The show starts at 8pm and will be packed with rip-roaring, side-splitting hilarity - one not to miss. The bar will be open on the night for drinks and snacks.
