On Saturday, as City open the new season against Cambridge United, the Grecian Centre will become home to the new Junior Grecians Family Zone.
Open on most Saturday matchdays, the family zone will be available for use by all family visitors to St James Park.
The Junior Grecians are the Official Junior Supporters Club of Exeter City FC and members will have exclusive use of the zone from 12:30pm until it is available to all families at 1:30pm.
The room will provide a safe, comfortable environment for families to enjoy pre-match entertainment, such as a large screen TVs, video game consoles and table football, as well as the option to enjoy refreshments from the zone’s very own kiosk.
The Grecian Centre has undergone major refurbishment and been transformed into a modern family friendly environment featuring images of junior supporters taken during last season.
A feature wall displaying a packed Thatcher's Big Bank will provide a photo-sharing opportunity using the #jgzone hashtag. There will be activities and competitions to suit all junior age groups, from FIFA17 and table football tournaments to free activity packs for younger children.
The new zone features a VIP party area and there are several party packages available to book throughout the season.
The family zone and stadium family areas will be supervised by Junior Grecians volunteers who have undergone DBS checks and our aim is to make a family visit to St James Park as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of the City Community Trust (formerly ECFC FITC), who manage the Junior Grecians as well as the Football Club, the Supporters Trust, and not to mention the efforts put in by our Junior Grecians volunteers themselves.
Other City Supporters Groups have generously contributed to the project, including the Senior Reds, Grecian Goal and the Exec Club, thus demonstrating the 'one club' ethos at Exeter City.
