Event hosted in the Grand Marquee on Thursday, April 27
Exeter City Football Club are delighted to announce we will be hosting an evening with Harry Redknapp on Thursday, April 27.The event, kindly sponsored by St Austell, JMC and Hopkins and Dodd, kicks-off at 7.30pm, and is hosted in the Grand Marquee at St James Park, with tickets priced at £39 including a two-course meal.
Harry, 70, carved out a successful career as a midfielder, making his professional debut at West Ham in 1965. He would go on to make 149 appearances for the Hammers, before joining AFC Bournemouth in 1972, where he would go on to make 101 appearances. Harry would retire in 1982 and move into management with AFC Bournemouth.
Highlights of Harry’s illustrious managerial career include reaching the Champions League quarter-finals in 2011 with Spurs, winning the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008, and winning promotion to the Premier League with QPR in 2014.
A true character of the game, Harry would manage some of the finest talents in the Premier League including Paolo Di Canio, Rio Ferdiand and Frank Lampard.
Harry last appeared at St James Park in 2013, whilst manager of QPR when they faced City in the Capital One Cup first-round. The Hoops overcame the Grecians 2-0 thanks to goals from Charlie Austin and Danny Simpson.
The event will see Harry discuss his career in and outside of football, he is well known for his candid style of interview, so it promises to be a night full of opinion and discussion at St James Park.
