Reuben Reid nominated for PFA fans' player of the month

Vote for Reuben after striker nets two crucial penalties in April

Exeter City striker Reuben Reid has been nominated for the League Two PFA fans’ player of the month for April.

Reuben started off the month by winning and scoring a crucial injury-time penalty against Mansfield Town – a goal and victory that helped keep the Grecians in the play-offs at the expense of their hosts at Field Mill.

The 28-year-old Bristol-born forward also won and scored another injury-time penalty against Morecambe at St James Park on Saturday, April 22. It helped the Grecians secure a 3-1 victory over Jim Bentley’s men.

However, it is not just his goals that have impressed City fans. Since joining the club in the middle of September, Reuben has been a focal point of the Grecians attack.

His hold-up play and intelligent running has created many goals for the players around him with Ollie Watkins and David Wheeler both netting double figures this campaign from attacking midfield and wide areas.

Reuben is up against Portsmouth’s Kal Naismith, Plymouth’s Jake Jervis, Grimsby’s Sam Jones, Newport County’s Mickey Demetriou and Cambridge United’s Luke Berry for the award.

Voting close at 7pm today (Friday), with the winner announced at 10am on Saturday. You can help Reuben win the award by clicking on the following link and voting.
