October’s monthly Foundation winner of the BIG £1,000 prize was lifelong City fan Jackie Willey.
Jackie is now a season ticket holder on the Big Bank, as she prefers standing to sitting. She misses the old Cowshed and has fond memories of watching matches there from the 80s onwards.
One match that stands out is when she and a friend went to see City play Liverpool at Anfield in the early 80s. They decided to miss work for the day, as her firm would not allow the holiday, because, she felt, visiting Anfield as an Exeter supporter would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. (The good news is the girls kept their jobs with a written warning!).
Jackie plans to spend her money on a trip to New York. Although the trip is already booked, the money will be used for some added extras, of which the Big Apple has many. We hope she enjoys her trip.
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
