Exeter City Football Club have begun the season brightly, with success both on and off the pitch.
They’ve achieved some great results in their early matches, and are also benefiting from the new branding and sponsorship of their ticket booth with the Exeter Lettings and Property Management agents Kirkham Gould.
Marketing and football are all about formation and positioning. When Saturday comes, the Grecians’ fans can’t miss the logo and corporate branding of the Exeter Lettings and Property Management agents: it’s placed on the busy ticket office near the main entrance to the main St James Park building.
The prominent branding shows Kirkham Gould’s support for the club and will be seen not only by Exeter City’s army of loyal fans, but also by anyone visiting St James Park for business reasons or to attend the many social functions held there.
The new partnership between club and company includes a corporate hospitality deal enabling Kirkham Gould and their guests to watch home matches from the VIP surroundings of the club’s Heritage Lounge. Where better to enjoy the beautiful game? With fantastic views of the action on the pitch, along with a private bar, 60” plasma TV screens and superb catering, the Heritage Lounge is in a league of its own.
The football team has already served up a feast of goals and some memorable wins this season, most recently against Morecambe, Newport County and Crewe Alexandra.
Comedian, children’s author, and national treasure Ade Edmondson is patron of the City Community Trust, an Exeter health and wellbeing charity based on sports participation. A life-long fan of the club, he raved about the victory against Crewe in his column for the Express & Echo (Ade donated his writing fee to the charity). He said, “It was a complete joy to watch.” He paid particular tribute to “the wizardry of Jayden Stockley’s goals”.
There’s certainly a kind of magic to the season so far.
The partnership is a match made in heaven for the Exeter Lettings and Property Management agents, whose directors are themselves great Exeter City fans.
Co-founder Tom Kirkham is rightly proud: “Kirkham Gould are delighted to be working with Exeter City by sponsoring the club’s ticket booth which, we hope you’ll all agree, after a lot of tender love and care, looks fantastic. We are also pleased to be sponsoring some spaces in the superb Heritage Lounge this season so we will be able offer our clients and friends some VIP treatment through the course of the season.”
Exeter City’s head of commercial Mark Jenkins said, “It’s really important for Exeter City to have the support of the local business community, and we’re very happy to have teamed up with Kirkham Gould.
“With the redevelopment of the stadium underway, parts of St James Park are a bit untidy, but the ticket booth looks very smart with its new branding and it’s great to have such a visible display of our sponsorship by Kirkham Gould.”
