Exeter City return to Checkatrade Trophy action when they welcome Peterborough United in a 7.15pm kick-off at St James Park.
After sealing themselves a place in the second round of the competition after claiming top spot in their group, the Grecians come up against Steve Evans’ side looking to push on in the competition.
Ahead of the match, manager Matt Taylor said: “Those lads who have played in the competition so far have earned the right to play in the next round. We will use the game as we have done throughout this season in terms of minutes for the 'so called' fringe players, or the ones on who haven’t been getting the game time with the first team recently, and also an opportunity for our younger players to step up into the first team environment.
LAST TIME WE MET
This will be the side’s first meeting since November 2013 when the Grecians travelled to London Road in the first round of the FA Cup.
It was United who came out on top on the day, and despite a goalless first 70 minutes, the home side struck through Britt Assombalonga before Nathaniel Mendez-Laing secured the win for the Posh.
The sides last met in November 2013
