Craig Woodman may have only scored one goal for the Grecians so far, but what a strike it was.
City went into the match with Scunthorpe in April 2014 knowing a victory would secure their Football League safety for another campaign after what had been a difficult season.
Scunthorpe, having been unbeaten since suffering a 4-0 defeat to City in October, were on the verge of securing promotion, but when Danny Butterfield rolled the ball to Woodman on 45 minutes he unleashed a powerful left-foot drive that found the top corner.
City went on to win the match 2-0 and secure another season of League Two football with a game to spare. Meanwhile, with results elsewhere going their way, Scunthorpe were also promoted despite their 28-game unbeaten run coming to an end.
