πŸ“ Former City players invited to Cambridge United match

Exeter City Supporters' Trust's History Group is inviting former players to the home match with Cambridge United on January 26, 2019.

Former players interested in attending are asked to contact the History Group by by emailing historygroup@exetercityfc.co.uk or by leaving a message with the Club Reception.

Up to 50 former players can be accommodated for pre-match refreshments in the Supporters Trust suite. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The event is being held as part of the Heritage Lottery Fund backed Exeter City Museum Project. The project is being led by the University of Exeter in partnership with the club, the Supporters Trust and its History Group.

Former players will also have the chance to go on a stadium tour at 11am and should indicate if they would like to do this. It will be an excellent opportunity to see all the new developments at the club including the new dressing rooms.

The event is also part of a wider continued effort to involve and celebrate the contribution of former players. It is hoped that a Former Players Association can be formed in the future.

Many former players have now been interviewed for the Grecian Archive and every player has a biography in the A-Z section. Details can be seen at: http://grecianarchive.exeter.ac.uk/

Updates for the biographies are always welcomed from former players and their families.

Former players are also celebrated in Exeter City’s Hall of Fame. Further inductions are planned in 2019 and a fan vote will be organised as part of this.
