City goalkeepers hand out awards

Exeter City’s Christy Pym and James Hamon were at Heavitee Social Club on Tuesday night to hand out awards to aspiring young shot-stoppers in the area.

The children, aged between eight and 16, were attending an awards evening for their goalkeeping course which takes places every Friday night at Heavitree Social Club and is run by qualified goalkeeping coach Gillian Burgess.

Christy and James talked to the youngsters and gave them some valuable insights into their game, matchday rituals, strengths and how their journey to becoming a keeper at City started. They then handed out awards before signing autographs and posing for pictures with the young keepers.
