The Exeter City FC Academy welcomes applications for their under-18s goalkeeper trials to be held on Wednesday, July 25.
The trials are for any goalkeeper born between September 1, 2000 to August 31, 2002 and currently unattached to any professional football club.
Exeter City has a fantastic record of providing opportunities for young goalkeepers to make the step from the Academy to first-team football. All three of our current first-team keepers have progressed from the Academy, with James Hamon and Felix Norman joining the club as under-18s.
City's number one, Christy Pym, joined the club aged 9. To date Christy has made over 100 EFL appearances and has also represented England under-20s. Could you be the next Christy Pym?
Attendance is strictly by invitation only. On receipt of completed entry forms and necessary accompanying documents, Exeter City FC recruitment and coaching staff will notify applicants of their acceptance or non-acceptance for this event.
Successful applicants will be expected to make their way to: The Cliff Hill Training Ground, Sidmouth Road, Clyst St Mary, Exeter, Devon, EX5 1DP. Arrival, start and end times will be confirmed once all spaces are filled.
Unfortunately accommodation cannot be provided by Exeter City FC, however transfers are available from the nearby Exeter International Airport and Exeter St David’s/Exeter Central train stations. The Cliff Hill Training Ground is a short drive from the A30 and Junction 30 of the M5.
All interested players must complete an application form and return (with proof of release from former club where applicable) to the Head of Academy Recruitment by 5.00pm on Wednesday, July 11 2018.
Applications should be sent to Dan Kelly at: dan.kelly@ecfc.co.uk
