Exeter City is delighted to announce the first signing of the summer transfer window as Aaron Martin joins the club after leaving Oxford United.
Aaron, 28, has spent time with the likes of Southampton, Birmingham City, Yeovil Town and Coventry City before moving to the Kassam Stadium, arrives at St James Park with a wealth of experience and will slot into the Grecians’ defence.
On the new signing, manager Matt Taylor said: "Aaron is a player with a lot of experience playing at a higher level. He is a good age and is highly motivated to drive the team on to the next level.
Matt also says that Aaron will bring great physicality into the City defence, but is also comfortable in possession, as the City manager looks to strengthen his options for the upcoming campaign.
Matt continued: "Aaron is a strong, tall, ball playing centre half and it is important that we have a lot of options defensively. I'll be looking to boost our defensive ranks further over the next few weeks."
“The player’s attitude and character are important. I’m bringing in not just good players, but good characters to the club.”
