"I am really looking forward to it, it will be a good atmosphere up there"

Jake Taylor is expecting a good atmosphere at Sincil Bank on Saturday when the Grecians visit for the first leg of their play-off semi-final.

City lost 3-2 when they visited in late March and Jake says that recent experience will help them going into the weekend.

“It is a tough place to go and the atmosphere will be really good,” he said. “We have experienced that atmosphere up there so we know what to expect which is a good thing.

“We have played some good stuff up there as well so we are confident going into the game. We have got a game plan and as long as we can stick to the way we want to play then hopefully we can come out with a positive result.” added Jake. “We have known that we are going to be in the play-offs for a week or so now. We have had a good week’s training, obviously focusing on the games we have got coming up. It has been a really positive week and we are all looking forward to getting going.”

Jake, who has played 51 games for the Grecians this season, says it is nice to have promotion to battle for at the end of the campaign.

“I think that is what every footballer wants,” he said. “You want to be successful and win promotions. We were a little bit disappointed to have missed out on the automatics but it is a fantastic competition – the play-offs – and if we can get to Wembley and go one better than last season then it makes all the hard work this year and last year worthwhile.”
