Exeter City are swiftly back in Sky Bet League Two action as they welcome Macclesfield Town to St James Park on Tuesday night in a 7.45pm kick-off.
The Grecians made the long trip to Colchester last weekend a positive one as they battled to return to Devon with a point following a 1-1 draw and will be keen to build on that display against a Macclesfield side who will be buoyed by their win over Yeovil Town last time out.
Ahead of the match, City midfielder Nicky Law said: “From what we’ve seen of them they’re a difficult side to play against. From our point of view if we can score first then, when you’re against teams that are down there, teams can struggle with confidence.
“We need to concentrate on ourselves, respect our opponents, whether they’re first in the league or bottom of the table, there’s no easy games in this league.
Nicky Law says City are expecting a difficult encounter against Macclesfield
“The worst thing we could do tomorrow night is to turn up thinking we only need to turn up and win the game because it won’t be the case, it’ll be another tough game at home and we’ll be looking to do our own thing and do what we do well and hopefully get our first league win for a while which is the aim.”
LAST TIME WE MET
The sides last met in League Two back in 2009 as the Grecians ran out 4-0 winners with Adam Stansfield, Richard Logan, Neil Saunders and Craig McAllister netting for City at St James Park.

RD&E FUNDRAISER
The new defibrillator which was purchased through your support will shortly be installed in the Stagecoach Adam Stansfield Stand.
One of our supporters Tina Davis knows exactly how vital defibrillators can be in saving lives as she works on Avon Ward at the RD&E Hospital in Wonford, looking after patients with heart problems.
Tina will be at FECRACE, the Bottle Bar, in the Centre Spot after tomorrow's match against Macclesfield Town on Tuesday, November 27.
Tina will be selling raffle tickets for a draw to be held on December 17. The ward is raising funds to buy reclining chairs for patients with heart failure, each chair costs ÂŁ1000 and they need 10 of them.
So, please support Tina and this very worthy cause, you might even win Hospitality for 2 and match tickets for a City game of your choice!
Thank you for your support.
