As part of City's Remembrance Day activities on Saturday, November 10, the players wore special black armbands with a poppy motif against Blackpool in the Emirates FA Cup.
To raise further money for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal, we now have the player armbands and manager Matt Taylor up for auction.
Also up for auction is the special RBL/EFL Football Remembers RBL Supersized medal, used in the pre-match coin toss. The coin is 70mm in diameter and cast to an Antique Silver-Plated Finish and the auction starts at £50 with a £250 buy it now option. Click here to bid.
So far, we have raised £1662.15 for RBL. On the matchday £411.29 was raised through the bucket collection, the display and leaflets from the Supporters Club in the Center Spot and the collection boxes around SJP. A huge total of £1250.86 has been raised from the sale of the special ECFC/Poppy pin badges in the shop.
A representative of the Royal British Legion said: "Thank you to the club and all your supporters for helping raise such a fantastic amount for the appeal."
