đź“ť Big Match Preview: City v Cheltenham Town

Exeter City will be looking to make it three league wins from three as they welcome Cheltenham Town to St James Park.

The Grecians, who have picked up wins over Notts County and Mansfield Town of late, are in good form and will be looking to keep themselves towards the top of the Sky Bet League Two table.

Ahead of the match, manager Matt Taylor said: “We’ve been positive this week, we’ve trained well, and the lads have worked hard again as they have done throughout the season. The result at Mansfield was a good result but it’s only three points and it’s very much on to the next. We’re preparing ourselves for a tough game at the weekend.

“You’re never too sure what formation or tactics they will use. We plan the best we possibly can but ultimately, it’s about our performance and the way we approach the game. If our mindset is right and the way we go about our business is proper, in terms of respecting the game of football, then we give ourselves a chance."

WHEN WE LAST MET

The sides last met in April this year as the Grecians chased down the chance of promotion with goals from Robbie Simpson and youngster Jordan Storey to win 2-1.

Robbie gave City the lead with a well taken goal, before Carl Winchester levelled things in the 37th minute. City pushed to go back ahead and had a chance through Hiram Boateng, who hit the crossbar, before Storey popped up to thump a header home from Lloyd James’ corner.

Jordan Storey scored to give City a 2-1 win over Cheltenham last time they met
