With the new season well underway, our Foundation winner on Saturday for September was long standing member Keith Perryman.
The weather was such that, as our photo shows, both Keith and operations manager Andy Gillard had to seek shelter in the dugoutt before the match against Cheltenham Town on Saturday. However, as you can see with Keith, receiving the Β£1,000 first prize was enough to put a smile on anyoneβs face, whatever the weather!
Keith grew up in the shadow of the old grandstand and walked to school each day past the gates, starting to attend matches properly in the early seventies. The first game he remembers seeing was Doncaster at home, but not the result!
Then there were the memorable trips to Leicester City and Newcastle United in 1981, especially bringing them back to dispatch them at a literally bouncing St James Park. Over the years Keith has enjoyed many City players, star ones were, as with many people, the older ones, including Nicky Jennings, Tony Kellow, Lammie Robertson and Peter Hatch.
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just Β£10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes β of which sixty-four are cash prizes β all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the Club.
