Saturday's match saw the Grecians put five past Notts County at St James Park, moving us within the final ten goals of the landmark 1000th Goal under Supporters' Trust ownership.

City had gone over seven hours of football without finding the back of the net, but just two minutes after Pierce Sweeney had opened the scoring the Grecians scored their second goal of the afternoon courtesy of Jayden Stockley's left shin.
An unorthodox backheel tackle by Jake Taylor found Nicky Law deep in Notts County territory on 18 minutes, City's summer signing then picking out Hiram Boateng in acres of space with a peach of a pass. The Grecians’ popular number 44 ran at goal before selflessly picking out an unmarked Stockley at the back post who could hardly miss.
City's top scorer later said that "[Hiram] absolutely smashed it across to me, I sort of didn't even see the ball".
