Saturday's match saw the Grecians put five past Notts County at St James Park, moving us within the final ten goals of the landmark 1000th Goal under Supporters' Trust ownership.

Despite having missed the chance to extend their lead through Pierce Sweeney’s second penalty, City were unfazed in their pursuit for further goals. Their perseverance paid off on 74 minutes as Jayden Stockley all but secured the three points for the Grecians from close range.
Jake Taylor found Hiram Boateng in the middle of the pitch, who excellently shrugged off Elliott Ward and, in an almost perfect reversal of City’s second goal, picked out Nicky Law in acres of space with an excellent through ball. When it looked as though City’s number 8 would shoot from just outside the area, he selflessly found the onrushing Stockley on the penalty spot, who knocked in his fifth goal of the season and his second of the afternoon.
