Matt Taylor's Grecians followed up their superb win at home to Notts County with a third away win of the season at Mansfield, moving City ever closer to the 1000th goal under supporters' ownership.
Today's featured goal, No.9️⃣9️⃣7️⃣ under The Trust, is brought to you by The Trust's Corporate Membership.
City had continued to apply the pressure early in the second half, with Jayden Stockley hitting the woodwork for the second time in the game before Nicky Law doubled the Grecian's advantage.
Lee Holmes and Pierce Sweeney again combined down the right flank, before the Irishman caught Mansfield's defence off guard with a perfectly weighted through ball to Hiram Boateng. With enough time to bring the ball under control and turn inside the box, Boateng picked out the onrushing Law, who bundled in between two defenders for his second goal in City colours just before the hour mark.
Mansfield would halve the deficit shortly after, but a resolute defensive display ensured City returned home from the One Call Stadium with three points and back-to-back wins.
