Aaron Martin is expecting a difficult match when the Grecians travel to Salford City on Saturday.
Salford, who were promoted from the National League last season, have lost three out of the last five in all competitions but Aaron says that he has been impressed with them in the games that he has seen.
βIt will be another difficult game," he said. "It is the first time in the league so they are obviously going to have some adaptions to make and some things to work on, but I think they have done well to get to where they are already.
βIt will be another difficult game. They have done well at times in the games we have seen, so it will be another difficult match, but we will approach it like we always do and hope we come out on top.β
City on the flipside are aiming for their third straight win in Sky Bet League Two and sit just three points off league leaders Swindon Town.
βIt is always good to be up and around it at the Christmas period,β added Aaron. βIt is always a difficult time with loads of games. So, if you can come out of that period still out on top and still around it then, then it puts you in good stead for the rest of the season.β
