Matt Taylor: "We deserved to get back in the game. We just didn't quite do the right things when they had 10 men."

Exeter City manager Matt Taylor praised his side for the character they showed in a 2-2 draw with Colchester United.

The Grecians took the lead through a well worked gooal from Jake Taylor, but then fell behind in the match to a Harry Pell header and a shot from Theo Robinson. However, they kept battling and deservedly levelled from the penalty spot through Ryan Bowman, with 14 minutes to go. City had a man advantage at that point as Tom Lapslie was sent off for the challenge that led to the penalty, but Matt felt they didn't use that advantage as well as they could have.
