The Exeter City Foundation pays out cash to winners every week and every month of the year, but a further benefit of the Foundation is that there are a number of ‘money can’t buy’ prizes too.
One of these is for the winner (plus friend / family member) to enjoy hospitality on match day in the Board Room alongside the other directors and to enjoy the match from the best seats in the ground.
This year’s winner was long time Foundation member Michael Prew, seen in the picture above in the Board Room alongside stepson Matt before the recent match against Cambridge United.
Mike and Matt thoroughly enjoyed the day, meeting amongst others Finance Director Keith Mason, Trust Board representative Elaine Davies and Trust Chairman Nick Hawker. Mike went on to say:
"The food provided was excellent, enjoyed by us both, a chilli was just right for a cold January afternoon! It was good to see the Exeter City Legends being presented to the crowd before the match. Some of them are older than me but all are still fresh in my memory as I started attending regularly in 1955 some 64 years ago, whilst Matt has been a regular for mere 30 years.
"The match itself was a very good game, plenty of drama with the penalty miss followed by the deflected winning goal. There aren’t any easy games these days with many teams coming here to defend and come away with a point.”
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
