Exeter City continue their Under 23 Premier League Cup campaign when they welcome Nottingham Forest to St James Park in a 7pm kick-off.
The young Grecians go into the game third in their group and will be looking to make home advantage count as they push to progress to the knockout stages.
Ahead of the match, Under-23 coach Dan Green said: “We’ll take each game as it comes and we’re going to focus on getting better and better each game and hopefully that can take us where we want to get to.”
The City coach also explained the importance of the City fans and the support they can give to the youngsters as they continue their development.
Dan continued: “We played against Norwich and came back from 1-0 down to get the draw and the fans were important in that game. The whole part of their (the players) development and learning is actually playing in front of the fans and learning to deal with that. They (the fans) are so important to the players’ development and we really appreciate it when they turn up.”

LAST TIME WE MET
The sides last met in what was their opening group fixture of the competition, but it turned out to be a tough day for the young Grecians as they were beaten 3-1 away from home.
The Grecians found themselves 2-0 behind at the break, despite creating the majority of chances in the first half, and then conceded shortly after the interval before James Dodd scored to get Dan Green’s side back in the match. City then hit the crossbar twice and had a good penalty appeal turned down but were unable to find the back of the net again, so Dan Green’s side will be keen to get an important three points under their belts on Monday evening.

The club shop will be open up until kick-off to give you the chance to make any purchases ahead of cheering on the young Grecians.
